Swimming, friends, FUN!

Okay, so a few weeks ago, one of my favorite families EVER came to visit...

THE BOMSTAS!

They used to live in our neighborhood, and I would babysit them as often as possible.  A few years ago, they moved to New Jersey, but I keep up on their blog, and they read my sparse posts.  :)  Plus, there are awesome things like facebook and texting.

The Bomstas are an absolutely amazing family.  Miss Colette Bomsta is so crafty and creative, and Mr. Eric Bomsta is a funny, hard-working guy.  Not to mention, they have some of the cutest kids!   Recently, Mr. Eric found out he has Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  Though it is hard on everyone and such a difficult event to cope with, every single member of this family has shown incredible faith and endurance.  They have built my testimony of the Priesthood, the power of prayers, the importance of righteous living, and how far a little love and patience can go.  They willing share their experiences, allowing others to grow as they learn more about the extent of their trust in our Eternal Father in Heaven.  And happily, Mr. Eric is on the mend!  The chemo is working, and soon I know he will be utterly cancer free once again! :)

(If you're wondering why I use Mr. such-and-such and Miss so-and-so, we used to live in Mississippi, and it was a southern way of showing respect to your elders (:  )

They came over for dinner and swimming, and it was just like old times!  I felt incredibly special that all the kids gave me a big hug, and the girls, Gracie and Hailey, talked about how I was the best babysitter. They always knew how to make my day!

So, my dad has this underwater camera, and we had lots of fun taking pictures! Unfortunately, most of them were a bit blurry.  Here are the best ones:

Kind of blurry, but you can tell it's me!

Best pic of all, cute Grace!

Nicholas and Tommy
Hailey preferred to take the pictures than be in them :)

There goes Tyson!

The hand in front looks a liiiitle creepy :)

And then the bottom of our pool.... yay
We adored having the Bomstas, and I certainly hope we see each other again real soon! :)

  1. Oh my gosh... the kids now think they are famous! Seeing their pictures on someone else's blog is VERY exciting (and seriously the highlight of our day). Gracie squeeled and giggled, as you can imagine. We had the best time too - and the best part about our families, Lauren... is no matter how much time goes in between us seeing each other, it alwasys feels like we saw you yesterday. Much love and hugs - thank you for your sweet words!
